Bure Integrated Agro-Industrial Park (IAIP)

Agro-Industrial Transformation in Amhara — leveraging Bahir Dar metropolitan strength to pull rural agriculture into high-value industrial chains

Bure IAIP is located in West Gojjam Zone of Amhara Region, approximately 411 km north of Addis Ababa and 156 km south-west of Bahir Dar. It sits in a high-potential grain and livestock production belt and benefits from proximity to the Bahir Dar metropolitan area.

The Bure Integrated Agro-Industrial Park serves as the industrial processing hub for a wide catchment of Rural Transformation Centers, converting the region’s abundant agricultural output into higher-value products.

1. Metropolitan Anchor Meets Rural Engine

The park operates on a classic hub-and-spoke model with Bure as the central processing hub linked to RTCs across West and East Gojjam.
